Recalls on record

NHTSA lists 3 recall campaigns for the 2011 Nissan Juke. Recalls are free to have fixed at a franchised dealer regardless of who owns the car now, but only if they were never done, so check the VIN of the specific car rather than trusting the model.

Fuel system 18V156000

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Nissan Juke vehicles previously remedied under recall 12V-069. During that recall remedy, the fuel pressure sensor may not have been properly tightened, potentially causing the sensor to loosen and leak fuel.

Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the fuel pressure sensor to the proper torque, free of charge. The recall began on April 24, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1

NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 NISSAN JUKE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 9, 2010, THROUGH MAY 12, 2011. THE TURBOCHARGER BOOST SENSOR BRACKET MAY SEPARATE FROM THE AIR INLET TUBE DUE TO A DEFECTIVE WELD.

Fix: NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL CHECK THE LOT NUMBER ON THE AIR INLET TUBE AND REPLACE IT IF NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 9, 2012.

Common questions

What goes wrong with the 2011 Nissan Juke?

Owners have filed 153 complaints with NHTSA for this model-year, and engine is the most reported area with 42 of them (27%). There are 3 recalls on record. Check any specific car against its VIN before buying.

Is the 2011 Nissan Juke reliable?

AVOIR scores its reliability 62/100 (average) from NHTSA recall campaigns and complaint density. That figure is a raw complaint count, not yet adjusted for sales volume, so a high-volume model scores worse than it deserves.

How long will a 2011 Nissan Juke last?

AVOIR scores its longevity 65/100, but that figure is an estimate built from the powertrain and the brand's record, not a measurement. A 2011 car has no 200,000-mile population to observe yet, so treat it as a prior rather than evidence.

Should I buy a 2011 Nissan Juke?

AVOIR's read: be careful, because the numbers are mixed and the complaint record is worth reading before you commit. Its overall ownership score is 63/100. Condition, mileage and service history still matter more than any score, so get a pre-purchase inspection on the specific car.

Sources: NHTSA recalls and complaints, EPA fuel economy, IIHS awards, and live market listings. A score describes a model-year, not the individual car in front of you. Get a pre-purchase inspection.
